Here’s a recap of the features released by Xero as of March 2018:
- View Invoice Button (Optional)
- User Permissions Page Redesigned
- Auto Suggestions for Sales Account Codes (for iOS)
- Query Templates for Ask in Xero HQ
View Invoice Button (Optional)
Before, invoices that were sent thru email would usually come in form of a link, which you need to click in order to view/pay online.
In Xero’s latest release, users would now be able to see a View Invoice button, which you can click once you receive the invoice email. However, despite the fact that this button will appear by default, you would still have the option to remove it based on your desire.
You can easily set that up in Xero by going to Settings>General Settings>Email Settings, go to your invoice email template then remove check in the Include quick link to online invoice and detail summary checkbox and that’s it!
User Permissions Page Redesigned
Everything’s still the same with features in this portion within Xero except for some changes in wording, such as:
a. Sales and Purchases (f.k.a Invoices) – available for Standard and Advisor user roles
b. Bank Accounts and Balances – formerly known as Bank reconciliation
c. Bank Account Admin – before as Contact Bank Account Admin

Auto Suggestions for Sales Account Codes (for iOS)
For iOS versions of Xero — An account code suggestion would now appear once you add a new line item to the invoice that you’re creating. These suggestions would show up only if your contact or inventory does not have a default sales account.
Query Templates for Ask in Xero HQ
Users of Ask can now make customizable queries based on their client’s past records, thus removing the need for entering client name, and be able to convert sets of questions into one complete query template.
